A light peated malt was used for this whiskey. The yeast used creates a flavor profile with white fruits (apple, pear, peach) and exotic fruits (banana, mango). The whiskey is aged in a specially selected barrel on which Bourbon Whiskey has aged, with notes of caramel, sugared fruit, vanilla and blueberries.
Lazuur refers to the blue color on the coat of arms of Zwaag and in heraldry, blue represents the color of heaven, corresponding to the heavenly taste of this whiskey.
The bottling of this whisky is expected in 2028 in a limited edition of 300 bottles. You purchase a certificate that entitles you to 1 0.7L bottle of whisky.
